We loved the pool and the beautiful sun terrace with panoramic views of the hills. Perfect place for evening sunset gazing! Lots of options for leisure activities, like tennis and mountain biking. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was also a treat.

One thing worth mentioning is the strong smell from cleaning detergent in our room upon arrival, which took a while to air out.

Well, that was a surprise!

What a treat this place turned out to be! Although the decor might feel a bit dated, the fine views really make up for it. The staff displayed really good friendliness. Dining options were decent, especially the evening meals. A lovely, tranquil spot that I'd revisit for sure.

Totally peaceful stay for relaxing and quiet holidays. Impeccably clean, old-fashioned hotel with nice location in a comfortable sitting area. Location near nearby beautifull beaches, the Via Algarviana and Portugal.

This weekend was a 25th Wedding Anniversary gift. These are the comments of the recipients. Our weekend at the Alte Hotel was one of the best we have had in a long time. The food, staff, cleanliness and surroundings were all excellent. We would recommend this bto anyone who likes holidays in the countryside but not too far from the sea. What a gem of a place! The swimming pool was such a relaxing escape, and the sunset views were simply breathtaking. I also enjoyed the diverse breakfast options, plenty to choose from each morning. I would definitely stay here again for a quiet getaway.

Good location just outside the village of Alte. Fantastic views across the Algave from the restaurant. Perfect for walking holidays with many tracks across unspoiled hills & valleys leading to small villages.

The views from the room were stunning, especially at sunset, and I had a lovely, relaxing stay as I needed a peaceful getaway. The breakfast was enjoyable and served with a beautiful view, and the swimming pool area was well-maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms pleasant and clean. We also ate in the restaurant for dinner and the food was exceptional. Breakfast, looking out over the stunning views, also excellent. So reasonably priced I can honestly say I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone,

The fine views from the balcony were unmatched, and the staff were very good too ensure we enjoyed our meals. The relaxing pool area was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
